Something’s moving on
Today I want to show you how our mill works progress.
Here it is a mill’s view from the square on the back. The main entrance will be on the other side of the mill:

On the left the mill some time ago: the mandarin trees convered the entry because of the thick foliage. This year we got a generous harvest (it was already clear).
On the right, the mill after the pruning. Some differences: some windows have been kept to the carpenter to restore. The road to success is still long, but we’re catching a glimpse of the expected result.

Here you can see the chimney: as it was, gray, near the bell tower. And on the right as it’s now, perfectly matching the surrounding environment. A lot better, isn’t it?
Low Temperature, The Restoration Enemy
We’re approaching the end of the year, and decorators are stopping their job too.
But the biggest problem is the low temperature; they explained that under a critical temperature (if I remember well it’s 4 °C – about 39 F) lime gets ruined.
Then they prepare some defensive makeshifts: handmade frames, pieces of material around the scaffold and warming.
