Sol&vento 2012
Next event: Sol&vento, March 31st and April 1st, here in Impe
ria.
Some explanations about the name: it’s a joke; it means Sun and Wind (Sole e Vento), which pronounced can be intended like Sun Event (Sole evento).
It’s the Kite Festival.
It’s already the 13th edition. I still remember when we were walking with Marta along the old pier, nose up to watch all those strange and wonderful flying “things”, of all shapes and sizes.
Whether you’re a fan of kites or just curious, that’s an event you can’t miss.
In my blissful ignorance, I’ve never thought kites can “fight”: I confirm it’s possible and fans are really well-trained!

March 24th and 25th: Flowers everywhere!
On March 25th it’s time to watch the “Flowered Cars“: 11 cars representing some cities of the Imperia province, covered with flowers to tell their own version of “Time in the world” (the night between saturday 24th and sunday 25th we’ll switch to Summer Time!) will parade along Sanremo streets, together with bands from all over the world. This event makes literally double the Sanremo population: usually 60.000 tourists flock to the city and happiness permeates from every corner.
